We went to sleep with the strange feeling that Saturday would be a challenge for all of us. As it turned out, this feeling was quite accurate.  Since the Ironman Lanzarote is known as an unpredictable course it might probably be the reason why people want to try it out for themselves.

Alessandro Degasperi and Diana Riesler are the winners of Ironman Lanzarote 2015

The Italian Alessandro Degasperi was the first to cross the finish line in the 24th edition of Ironman Lanzarote with a time of 8:56:49. It was a very exciting race where nothing was sure until the last moment. Alessandro left the water as the 14th position and worked his way up to the 3rd place during the bike race.  After the 42k run he was crowned as the Ironman Lanzarote 2015 champion. Christian Kramer achieved the second place at (8:59:30) and the third place went to Mauro Baertsch (9:04:45).

In the female category, Diana Riesler, who was the fourth out of the water, gained the leading position during the cycling course and reached the finish line at 9:52:03. The second place went to Michi Herlbauer (10:13:49) – who had trained hard for Ironman Lanzarote at Sands Beach Resort, while the third place went to Caroline Livesey (10:31:56).

Our ambassadors were all able to rank in the top 10: Michel Blanchart (4th), Bert Jammaer (5th), Daniel Herlbauer (6), Will Clarke (8th), Saleta Castro (7th).

Congratulations to all!
